Grant Application and Process
Grant Focus
Our grants support programs that foster leadership, education and economic self-sufficiency among women and girls.

Grant Guidelines
The Women’s Fund will distribute up to $24,000 during the 2011-2012 grant cycle. Grant applications will be accepted for requests from $500 to $20,000. Typical grant awards range in size from $1,000 to $5,000. Former applicants and grant recipients may apply for funding for this grant cycle.

Applications will be accepted from any not-for-profit organization determined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the US Internal Revenue Code (IRS) that provides services in Onondaga, Cayuga and/or Madison counties. If the IRS does not recognize your organization as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, you may identify a 501(c)3 sponsor that has agreed to act as your fiscal agent for the grant.

To be considered for the 2012 grant review process, applications must be submitted and electronically dated on or before November 30, 2011. We encourage applicants to verify the receipt of the grant submission by the Women’s Fund. The Women’s Fund is not responsible for any application submitted electronically but not received by the deadline due to any Internet mishap.

The 2011-2012 Women’s Fund grant funding must be used for programs that begin on/or after April 1, 2012 and are completed by October 31, 2013.

Each grant recipient is required to complete a final grant evaluation report within 30 days of completion of the project. The Women’s Fund will provide you with the reporting form. The Women’s Fund will use this information to assess the results of our investment.  In addition, the Women’s Fund must be mentioned as a funding source on any publicity or promotion material designed for the program.

Recipients will be notified by April 1, 2012.
