Light Work Visual Studies received $19,000 to support an art exhibition and related programs across Syracuse that showcases work by the video artist Barry Anderson in multiple venues, culminating in a special downtown event. The project will include a juried video festival, live musical performances, gallery receptions, an artist lecture and an exhibition catalogue. 

Society for New Music received $15,000 to partner with Spanish Action League to produce the chamber opera Frida at the La Liga summer festival. Participants of Spanish Action League theater and art classes will produce and perform alongside Society’s music professionals.

Erie Canal Museum received $20,000 to improve exhibition space by adding a computerized kiosk that reinforces the principals of math, geography and critical thinking through an interactive software program. Designed around  New York State curriculum standards, the program will guide visitors through the process of weighing a canal boat to determine a toll on the cargo.
