Women's Fund

Last Updated Jul 2010

The Women's Fund of Central New York is a permanent endowment, established through the Central New York Community Foundation, to fund programs and projects that support women and girls. There are several specific goals, but the overall aim of the Fund is to enable women to become economically self-sufficient and achieve their full potential as members of the community. More information about the Fund is available on the dedicated Women’s Fund website.

The Women's Fund's grantmaking furthers its mission by focusing on programs that foster leadership, education and economic self-sufficiency among women and girls.

A request for proposals is announced in late fall, with a specific theme and guidelines for submission clearly outlined. Tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organizations serving Onondaga, Madison, or Cayuga counties are encouraged to apply. Requests should range from $100 to $12,500.
