The Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum received $9,500 to support the completion of a mule/horse stable. The museum provides hands-on learning opportunities about canal-era history and canal boats. The new exhibit will allow visitors to experience the harnessing of a horse and gain a greater appreciation for the labor that went into running the canal.
The Onondaga Historical Association received $40,000 to support the installation of a new fire suppression system. The system will provide fire protection for the Association’s more than 50,000 archives of historical Central New York documents, records, photos and museum exhibits.
