Franciscan Collaborative Ministries received $10,000 to purchase fund development software. The Ministries provide services that respond to the needs of the poor to enable them to become more self-sufficient and productive members of the community. Their services include a food pantry, free health services, legal counseling, tutoring, community building and neighborhood revitalization.

RSVP of Madison County received $16,000 to support a marketing and recruitment campaign that will increase and diversify their volunteer base. RSVP–MC connects citizens age 55 and over with meaningful volunteer activities, enabling them to participate more fully in the community.

The Southside Community Coalition received $5,000 to implement a healthy diet educational campaign to residents of Syracuse’s Southside. The campaign will include doubling the number of their “Store for a Day” events, in which volunteers purchase fresh produce from the farmer’s market for resale on the Southside at affordable prices.

The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley received $20,000 to support the production of a documentary that will air nationally. The documentary will tell the story of a partnership the YMCA conducted with local youth and musicians from New Orleans who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina to produce and perform music for area residents.
