Last May, Peggy Ogden announced to our board and staff her plans to step down as President and CEO in 2008. Her great success in building the effectiveness of the Community Foundation over many years has been well-recognized. We will miss her!
We’re all grateful for Peggy’s generosity in providing us plenty of time to plan and manage an effective leadership transition. Our Search Committee, consisting of an exceptional and committed group of current and past board members, has been hard at work since early summer designing and now implementing our recruitment and selection plan. We have advertised the position both locally and nationally, doing our best to identify and explain those qualities and attributes we determined are most important in the successful candidate.
The process we developed is deliberate and rigorous, and includes a number of screening phases. We’ve now received dozens of applications, including several that offer superior qualifications. Over the next few months, as we proceed through the screening and interview phases, I’m confident that we will be successful in selecting an outstanding candidate to serve as the next President and CEO of your Community Foundation. - Jay Rubenstein
