Scholarship Recipient Will Return to His Roots

The Community Foundation recently received this letter of gratitude from Ryan Bulson, a student at SUNY College of Optometry:

“I am honored to have again received the Dr. Sanford & Claire Levy Scholarship Award. I am currently in the midst of a chaotic third year at SUNY and the scholarship will go a long way in helping to finance my education. My decision to enter the optometric profession was based strongly on my relationship with my life-long family optometrist, Dr. Theodore Wadas. Both Dr. Wadas and your foundation have shown me the importance of my roots in Central New York. I look forward to one day returning to the area and becoming an active member of the community.”

We love to hear that a young professional person wants to return to Central New York and become engaged in the community-at-large.
