Grants for Green Spaces
The Central New York Community Foundation believes that the life and vitality of neighborhoods depend on the combined efforts of its residents. Neighborhoods that come together and work collectively toward improving their immediate environment ultimately strengthen the larger community’s quality of life.
Each spring, the Grants for Green Spaces program provides grant awards of up to $750 to support small, targeted initiatives to improve neighborhood spaces. We require that projects be resident-led and contribute to greening, clean up, and/or beautification of public areas, trails and/or vacant land. We prioritize projects that maximize the skills, capabilities and resources available within the neighborhood.
The Grants for Green Spaces funding period has ended for 2008. Please check back in early spring to apply for a 2009 Grants for Green Spaces grant.
Please review the full
grant guidelines
and
application form
for more details about the program and to apply. Notification of grant decision is usually made within five business days. Please direct your questions to Nghi Luu at 422-9538 or
by email
